Abstract
In order to fulfill the financial needs of the wife, the Islamic law has assigned duties to the husband. On the opposite side of these duties, rights are also considered for the wife, one of the most important of which is alimony. This research, using exploratory-analytical method and using library resources, seeks to answer the question, what is the husband's responsibility for the wife's medical expenses? In order to find the answer to this question, the evidence related to the scope of the women's rights system with respect to the position of the family in Islamic teachings were explored. The result of the research is that, due to the following reasons, the husband is obliged to pay all the expenses for the treatment of all kinds of wife's diseases, the generality of the guide to prohibiting harshness on the wife, the necessity of the man's responsibilities towards his family. Narratives guiding non-exclusivity, the validity of the conventional title on treatment costs, the comparison of priority and the way of the Shariah. All these cases are based on presenting a new concept of alimony based on the real needs of the wife and the capabilities of the husband.
